Hello UMEI grade nine students!  The  country that I will be blogging about  is Spain.  The country of Spain has an approximate total population of 46 754 784 people and a total of 504 782 square kilometres.  This gives the country a density of 78 people per square kilometre.  Out of the total population though,  approximately 78% of the  people live in urban areas(cities/towns) and the other 22% of people live in rural areas.  The capital city of Spain is Madrid.  The population of Madrid is 5 103 000 people and it is located in the center of the country.  Spain has many popular cities such as  Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia and Zaragoza and it contains a total of 50 provinces.  On the West side of Spain is Portugal, the some of the North side beside France and the East side beside the Mediterranean Sea.
